**Job Title**
Desktop Technician – Experienced
**Role Summary**
Provide on‑site and remote support to end‑users, configure and maintain workstation environments, resolve Level 2/3 ITSM incidents, deploy and upgrade applications, manage hardware assets, and document processes. Operate within a team of IT specialists to ensure continuous, secure, and efficient workstation operations.
**Expectations**
- Execute timely, high‑quality user support and system troubleshooting.
- Manage ITSM tickets from receipt to resolution.
- Deploy and master workstations, install software, and enforce security policies.
- Collaborate on project initiatives impacting desktop environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset records.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver face‑to‑face support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
- Log, prioritize, and close ITSM tickets; communicate status to users.
- Install and configure Windows 11, Office 365, Edge Chromium, Firefox, VMware, SentinelOne, BitLocker, OneDrive, and remote‑desktop tools.
- Prepare, master, and ship workstations; manage planned renewal cycles.
- Conduct equipment qualification, application deployment, and update roll‑outs.
- Administer Active Directory (GPO, OU, objects), DNS, DHCP, and inventory tools.
- Produce user documentation, guides, and support materials.
- Participate in IT projects, troubleshooting complex incidents, and providing expert guidance.
**Required Skills**
- Windows 11/Windows Server systems, PC architecture, BIOS/UEFI.
- Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), OneDrive.
- PowerShell, VBScript scripting.
- Edge Chromium, Firefox browsers.
- BitLocker, SentinelOne security solutions.
- VMware virtualization, MacOS fundamentals (optional).
- Active Directory management (GPO, OU, objects).
- DNS, DHCP.
- ITSM platform (ServiceNow or equivalent).
- Remote support tools (RDP, VNC, etc.).
- Strong communication, self‑directed work ethic, and customer‑service mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum 4 years of desktop or IT support experience.
- Proven expertise in Windows and office software environments.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar (desirable).
- ITIL Foundation certification (desirable).
