Job Description
**Job Title** Service Engineer **Role Summary** Provide on‑site, high‑quality service for food processing and packaging equipment. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, installations, commissioning, and performance validation of capital equipment. Train operators, perform root‑cause analysis, and support contract performance to ensure continuous production for customers worldwide. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, maintenance, or service. - Proven ability to conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems, execute installations, rebuild kit operations, and implement system upgrades independently. - Travel up to 10 % of the time; valid driver’s license required. - Intermediate proficiency in English (written & spoken). - Proactive, customer‑first mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Travel to customer sites to perform preventive, corrective, and installation activities. - Analyze technical issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and document findings; elevate to appropriate support levels. - Train customer operators on equipment operation, safety, and production efficiency. - Lead Level 1 and Level 2 capital equipment installations following the Installation‑to‑Performance (ItP) framework. - Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance schedules; monitor service contract compliance and business development opportunities. - Ensure adherence to safety, food‑quality, and reporting standards; maintain a clean, safe work environment. - Represent the organization professionally and contribute ideas for improving customer operations and service delivery. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in preventive maintenance, mechanical & electro‑mechanical troubleshooting, industrial system installations, rebuild kit work, and upgrade implementations. - Strong automation knowledge: Allen Brady FREQUENCY DRIVES, GE Fanuc, Rockwell RSLogix 5000, DeviceNet, Ethernet communication; familiarity with PAM/SAM, DMC preferred. - Ability to operate within defined service scope and achieve agreed service targets. - Excellent written and verbal communication; effective in multi‑cultural environments. - Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process Engineering, or related field. - PLC or industrial automation certifications (e.g., Rockwell, GE, Allen Brady) preferred.
