**Job Title:** ICT Solutions Designer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and document ICT, physical infrastructure, and telecommunications solutions for a global technology partner. Provide advisory expertise, ensure compliance with industry standards, and produce technical deliverables on‑site.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality design and documentation within a 6‑month contract (extension possible).
- Work onsite near Liverpool Street, collaborating with stakeholders and project teams.
- Apply standards‑based engineering practices and maintain clear technical communication.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create and maintain design drawings (AutoCAD or similar) for structured cabling, fiber, copper, wireless, DAS, smart‑building, IoT, and data‑center infrastructure.
- Develop technical specifications, SOPs, and documentation packages.
- Ensure designs comply with ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, NEC, IEEE, BICSI, and local building codes.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders to validate pathways, grounding, bonding, firestopping, and space planning.
- Conduct reviews of network architecture, audio/visual, and security system designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support during implementation and handover phases.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD or equivalent) for infrastructure design.
- Strong technical writing and documentation abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of network infrastructure design and structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with copper, fiber optic, wireless, DAS, smart‑building, and IoT technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications preferred: BICSI (RCDD, OSP), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, NEC, IEEE, and BICSI standards.
