Job title: Technical Developer I Global Research Pilot Brewery
Role Summary: Execute and support experimental trials in a research pilot brewery to produce high‑quality prototypes for product and process development.
Expectations: Deliver accurate, timely trial results while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance with brewery standards. Proactively identify risks, recommend improvements, and support continuous process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand trial objectives, product specifications, and process procedures.
- Prepare and conduct operational trials (filtration, blending, saturation, packaging, CIP).
- Create process datasheets, perform calculations, and ensure product traceability.
- Analyze quality parameters, record observations, and report data.
- Apply good industrial practices and brewery standards to ensure reliable results.
- Participate in project kick‑offs, raise concerns, and confirm operational details.
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting objectives, timelines, or specs.
- Verify raw material availability, quantities, and traceability.
- Propose and support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure equipment functionality, report defects, and maintain safety.
- Generate or update SOPs for equipment and processes.
- Assist in equipment testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to test and validation plan creation.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the pilot brewery.
- Support implementation of management programs for consistent operations.
- Liaise with suppliers for maintenance, material info, or parts.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science or engineering.
- Experience in brewery or packaging operations (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, and timelines.
- Problem‑solving and continuous learning mindset.
- Proactive improvement orientation.
- Independent trial organization, execution, and reporting.
- Practical technical skills to operate and assess equipment.
- Ability to interpret and analyze test results.
- Structured procedure writing in standardized formats.
- Test plan and validation program creation.
- Team player with interpersonal flexibility.
- Open, transparent communicator; solid oral and written skills.
- Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; advanced computer skills (macros) an advantage.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Professional bachelor’s degree in a relevant applied science or engineering field.
