Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems using Python (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI)
Lead architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and best practices
Build and integrate APIs and services, ensuring performance, security, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, end-to-end technical solutions
Optimize databases, write automated tests, and support CI/CD workflows for smooth deployments
Drive continuous improvement by identifying technical challenges and proposing smart, scalable solution
Requirements
5+ years' experience of Python development building enterprise level software
Experience in using python with Excel Add-on(Pyxll, xlwings) or Desktop standalone application
Experience with implementing automated unit + regression testing into CI/CD development pipelines
Strong understanding and experience with multi-threaded programming
5+ years' experience as a Python developer delivering FO pricing/trading/risk solutions
Experience in using python relate building and distribution tools like Poetry and Pyinstaller
Strong knowledge of Interest Rate Swap products (FRA/IRS/XCCY)
Experience with working with quant team to deliver risk valuation or pricing solutions
Strong object-oriented programing understanding like SOLID principles, encapsulation etc.

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$105,000 - CA$140,000.
