Job Description:
*Follows hybrid schedule (T,W & TH in office, M & F WFH) in the Princeton office*
REQUIRED:
* Experience with Microsoft .NET and .NET Core C# language
* Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Experience with JSON and XML
* Experience with RESTful web services
* Experience with web design (UI/UX) and development using ASP .Net-Core and Telerik HTML/JavaScript Kendo UI widgets
* Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
* Experience with relational databases, SQL Server
* Experience with relational databases optimistic concurrency control and web page syncing via SignalR
* Experience with developing reports for purposes of data analysis and business intelligence, preferably using SQL Server Reporting Services
* Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
* Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
* Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
* Experience with software version control, GitHub
* Experience with software development lifecycles
* Experience with automated software deployment from GitHub and Jenkins
Responsibilities:
In this contracted position the candidate will be asked to step in for some specific amount of time (TBD) and take on a user interface (UI) developer role. The candidate will be asked to work closely with the existing project team members on a number of tasks which allow us to complete our in-flight Newsprint Reporting (NPR) project.
The NPR project will allow us to sunset several legacy systems currently being used to track and report newsprint inventory at our internally owned print plants. The project also involves keeping track of our contracted printing partners' abilities to print our nightly editions.
Newsprint, being the largest expense in the print business, makes the NPR project critical to ensuring efficient business processes while also maintaining our ability to get a print product to our subscribers.
