Title: Vulnerability Security Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Duration: Until 12/31/25 (with potential extensions)

Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr (W-2 only)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Vulnerability Security Analyst with expertise in attack surface management and security configuration compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and a strong technical foundation in system administration (Unix, Windows, or workstation administration). This role requires working across multiple technologies to ensure secure configurations, accurate scans, and actionable reports.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for attack surface management and configuration compliance.
Develop, validate, and implement configuration compliance policies in collaboration with technology partners.
Maintain consistent scanning and reporting accuracy using enterprise vulnerability tools.
Work across multiple technologies simultaneously to identify and remediate risks.
Develop and run scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and/or RegEx.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong system administration experience (Unix, Windows, or workstation environments).
Hands-on experience with vulnerability/configuration compliance tools such as Symantec, Qualys, Tanium, or Tenable.
Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or RegEx.
Familiarity with networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Experience with enterprise vulnerability management programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
