Job Specifications
We are looking for a Integration Specialist to lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust integration solutions that align with our business objectives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams--including architecture, data engineering, application support, and business stakeholders--to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure integrations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Boomi and Microsoft Azure, and a solid background in API integration and data architecture. It will be a remote position in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Translation:
Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical integration designs.
Integration Development:
Develop, deploy, and maintain integrations between cloud and on-premises applications using Boomi and Azure technologies.
Implement best-in-class solutions using APIs (REST/SOAP), microservices, event-driven architecture, and ETL pipelines.
Data Modeling & Monitoring:
Design data models within Boomi Hub, and monitor/review integration performance and data flow health.
API Management & Architecture:
Expand and maintain a reusable API catalog using Azure API Management; ensure resilient, scalable architecture for all integrations.
Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and reliability issues across existing integration environments.
Collaboration:
Partner with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to ensure cohesive, secure integration ecosystems.
Documentation:
Create and maintain clear documentation including use cases, transformation logic, data mappings, and architecture diagrams.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively recommend improvements in processes, practices, and technology adoption.
Mentoring:
Guide and mentor junior developers and support staff.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
7-10 years of experience in integration-focused roles, including at least 3 years working with Boomi and Azure platforms
Proven hands-on experience with Boomi (design, deployment, monitoring, and Hub modeling).
Proficient with Azure services: Azure Data Lake, Service Bus, API Management.
Strong experience with API integration (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
Familiarity with tools and formats such as Java, JavaScript, XML, JSON, SFTP, WSDL.
Strong communication skills--both technical and non-technical.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
