Remote Itential Network Automation Engineer/Cisco DNA/Ansible

We are seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise networking environment for our client.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco DNA Center , Ansible , and Itential Automation Platform (IAP) . You'll play a key role in automating network operations, streamlining infrastructure processes, and supporting next-gen network transformation initiatives. This is a contract role until end of year. Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement network automation solutions using Ansible and Itential.
Integrate Cisco DNA Center APIs for automated provisioning, configuration, and assurance tasks.
Collaborate with Network Engineering and DevOps teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated workflows.
Build and maintain playbooks, scripts, and automation pipelines for repeatable network tasks.
Leverage Itential's platform to orchestrate end-to-end automation use cases across hybrid network environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network automation and orchestration platforms.
Maintain documentation of solutions, workflows, and configuration standards.
Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams during and after deployment phases.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Network Engineering with 2+ years focused on network automation.
Proficiency with Cisco DNA Center , including API integrations.
Hands-on experience with Ansible , including playbook development and YAML scripting.
Experience building and managing workflows using Itential Automation Platform (IAP) .
Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, etc.).
Solid understanding of REST APIs, Python scripting (preferred), and version control (Git).
Familiarity with SDN principles and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced, remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, DevNet).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Exposure to other automation tools or platforms (Terraform, NetBox, etc.).
