Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Security Analyst to monitor and manage security platform operations, ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of organizational information systems. This role will involve working with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and maintain security tools, investigate incidents, conduct security audits, and develop security documentation and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage daily security platform operations.
Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools and technologies.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
Investigate and respond to security incidents, including forensic analysis and remediation.
Manage incident escalations, following defined response procedures.
Develop and maintain SOPs, guidelines, and security best practices.
Assist in creating and implementing security policies, controls, and compliance measures.
Provide guidance on security configurations, incident response, and best practices.
Stay current on security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve security issues.
Required Qualifications
3+ years understanding of information security principles and best practices.
3+ years operating and maintaining security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection).
3+ years familiarity with network protocols, architecture, and security.
3+ years knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
3+ years scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
3+ years familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
3+ years incident response experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Experience with Texas Child Support systems, programs, and methodologies.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+.
Additional Information
Position is telework, with occasional onsite requirements possible.
May require occasional evening or weekend work with prior approval.
Must pass a DPS/FBI background check and fingerprinting.
