Role: Founding Engineer (Full Stack) - AI
Salary: Up to PS150,000 + equity
Location: London (in-person)
The Opportunity
I am supporting mission-driven AI lab with their search for a Founding Engineer to help transform complex AI research into scalable products.
The focus will be on building tools that evaluate and monitor AI agents, supporting safer deployment of advanced AI systems. You'll be building products for customers that include the frontier AI labs and big tech companies. Super cool.
This role offers you the chance to work closely with researchers and product leads, take ideas from concept to production and shape both the technical direction and product vision of an early-stage startup.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build APIs that allow large language model (LLM) evaluations to be created, run and analysed at scale, enabling customers to benchmark and monitor AI agent performance.
Develop features across the stack - from intuitive front-end interfaces to scalable back-end services.
Work side-by-side with AI researchers to understand user needs and iterate quickly.
Influence technical decisions, architecture and team growth.
Candidate Profile
Must have experience with building B2B SaaS products from scratch, ideally with an AI focus.
5+ years' experience as a full-stack engineer building production applications.
Strong proficiency in React and Python (FastAPI, Flask or Django).
Experience designing REST APIs, databases and cloud deployment (AWS or GCP).
Comfortable working in fast-moving environments and shipping products end-to-end.
Experience with AI/ML concepts, evaluation frameworks or developer tools/APIs.
Bonus Extras
Experience designing and building agentic systems.
Have been part of a fast-paced startup that has gone through Seed/Series A funding rounds.
