Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) Specialist to join our onsite team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EAI technologies, with a focus on IBM Transformation Extender (formerly WTX), and will play a key role in requirement gathering, solution design, proof of concept development, project execution, documentation, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering

Participate in business workshops and collect detailed data points.
Analyze business needs and translate them into system requirements.

2. Design & Proof of Concept

Create Component Design Specifications based on Architecture Design.
Prepare Integration Requirement and Technical Design Specifications.
Design interfaces and BPM workflows.
Build POCs to validate solution designs using ITX and its enhanced features.

3. Project Development & Execution

Develop robust integration solutions using ITX/WTX components.
Build and configure IFD flows using Eclipse.
Create and manage test cases and plans using HPALM.
Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with business users for UAT execution.
Deploy code using GIT/SVN and TeamCity.
Support production deployment and post-Go-Live monitoring.
Fix identified defects and ensure smooth operations.

4. Documentation & Training

Develop support and user documentation.
Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
Participate in peer and senior-level code/design reviews.

5. Production Support

Monitor application logs and interface stability.
Provide Level 2/3 support for troubleshooting issues.
Manage application installations and maintenance.
Coordinate with stakeholders for ongoing enhancements and fixes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in EAI technology design and development.
5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM WTX 8.4 or higher / IBM Transformation Extender.
Strong background in Integration Solution Design and Support using ITX.
Experience in migration projects with WTX 8.4+.
Familiarity with Trading Manager (Message Manager, Partner Manager).
Solid knowledge of EDI X12 guidelines, SQL/PLSQL, and FTP/FTPS/SFTP protocols.
Comfortable working on Linux OS.
Strong communication skills to interact with business users.
Flexible to participate in on-call and support rotations.

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with HPALM, Eclipse IDE, TeamCity CI/CD.
Experience in regulated enterprise environments with formal SDLC.
