For an organization to transform in today's digital world, it needs to properly collect, store, and organize its data. As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thi nk ing and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for the United States Department of Defense.
As a data architect on our Enterprise Data Management team, you'll use your extensive te chn ical expertise to design data architecture solutions for a broad spectrum of data management functions, including data quality, data governance, and metadata design as well as big data analytics. You'll resolve routine data quality and data architecture issues in collaboration with business analysts and te chn ology teams by applying your expertise and analytic skills to develop recommendations for solutions in coordination with a data governance council.
In this role, you'll grow your te chn ical expertise, apply best practices, and use tools like Erwin Data Modeler, Cameo Magic Draw, Collibra Data Governance, Collibra Data Catalog, JIRA, and Confluence to design data models, design data warehouses, manage data policies, procedures, and standards, and build and maintain a knowledge base of data assets. You'll guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that data-centric requirements are met, and solutions are delivered.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with data modeling, data architecture, database design, or data management concepts and activities, including industry best practices for data sourcing, key data elements, data governance, data quality management, and metadata management
Experience with enterprise data management policy, processes, and procedures
Experience with database implementations, database language theory, database design, SQL, and Collibra Data Catalog
Experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design for data warehouses as well as conceptual, logical, or physical data modeling te chn iques
Experience creating new data architectures to support enterprise requirements
Experience facilitating information discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to extract appropriate terminology and context
Knowledge of developing standardized business vocabularies across large organizations and multiple business units
Ability to assist in mapping the business and te chn ical architecture of a delivered solution to te chn ical and functional requirements
Nice If You Have:
Experience working in Agile environments
Experience with the Data Management Body of Knowledge ( DMBOK )
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
TS/SCI clearance
Certified Data Management Professional ( CDMP ) Certification
