One of my clients, a reputable and successful Investment Bank, is looking to hire an Application Support Analyst to join a team that support a number of applications that provide critical information for traders across the Equities business. The applications you will be supporting are mostly database dependent applications and sits predominantly in the Equity Derivatives area.
Responsibilities include:
Work on stability enhancements to the Bank's Equities platform.
Documenting any resolutions with the user as well as training them to reduce issues.
Establishing relationships with user base, including senior stakeholders.
Work closely with the Development teams so that you gain knowledge to alleviate any L3 issues in the future.
Debugging database queries and resolving key issues
To be right for this role, you must have the following:
Proven track record of working as an Application Support team at another financial services firm
Strong experience supporting database dependent banking applications
Previous experience in the following technologies: Linux, SQL, Python (nice to have), MS SQL Server
Experience of technical support across a demanding user base in a trading environment
The company are operating a hybrid way of working. You will be expected to work in the office four days a week, with the option to work one day a week from home.
