Pay Rate Range: $60.00 to $70.00 DOE.
Job Description:
Seeking motivated candidates for a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist. Candidates for this position plan, conduct, and provide technical Systems Engineering direction on projects or major phases of significant project assignments, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Application of advanced Systems Engineering techniques, including Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, in the management of requirements, verification and risk for developing solid rocket propulsion systems. Develops solutions to complex systems engineering problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity. Candidates provide and coordinate communications with team and engineering leadership and customer personnel on technical matters often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.
Required:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or appropriate discipline/science (Mechanical/Aerospace) and at least 6 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Knowledge of solid rocket motor fundamentals
Requires the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement systems engineering processes to ensure success of rocket system design development.
Candidates at this level should have directly related industry experience in Systems Engineering disciplines (product development cycle requirements management, risk management, integration) for aerospace/rocket propulsion system design development.
Experience applying advanced Systems Engineering techniques, including Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, in the management of requirements and risk for developing rocket propulsion systems
Experience with IBM Rational DOORS requirements management software.
Experience in risk and opportunity management
Desired:
Demonstrated experience in the development of contract proposals, basis of estimates, and other MBSE artifacts to support the capture of new business.
Demonstrated experience in the developing MBSE Architectures for DoD and Commercial customers.
Experience with DoD ground and air launched systems preferred.
Demonstrated experience with the development and application of requirements verification architectures within a Cameo modeling environment.
Applies knowledge of MBSE languages (UML, SysML, and UPDM), frameworks
Advanced degree preferred.
Coursework in Systems Engineering disciplines (requirements engineering, risk management, etc.)
Education:
Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred
