Continuous Improvement Analyst Intern
The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in Clinical Operations can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Our company's Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) team is currently recruiting summer interns. GCTO is a global organization operating in over 50 countries and is responsible in the delivery of our company's diverse development portfolio comprising over 200 clinical trials in compliance with global and local regulations.
It is critical that, for all of our company-sponsored clinical trials, patient safety, high quality data and compliance with company requirements and regulations are delivered and sustained. The Continuous Improvement (CI) organization has an important impact in achieving those objectives. CI provides quality oversight for clinical trials, participates in the identification of opportunities for process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the organization supports internal audits and external regulatory inspections.
The Continuous Improvement Analytics (CIA) team is an integral part of the broader Continuous Improvement organization, specializing in delivering data-driven solutions and advanced analytics to support quality and operational excellence across GCTO. The CIA team focuses on leveraging technical expertise--including data engineering, programming, and visualization--to develop innovative tools and insights that enable informed decision-making and continuous process improvements. As part of this internship, you will have the opportunity to work as part of the CIA team on projects that harness data analytics to drive impactful improvements within clinical trial operations.
The Intern Will Engage With All Levels Within The CI Organization To Participate In And/or Lead Projects That Support Quality Operations Driving The Efficient And Ethical Conduct Of Clinical Trials Across The Globe. Activities May Include (but Are Not Limited To)
Support the CI team which oversees Clinical Quality Management System for trials conducted by GCTO
Generation of quality and compliance metrics
Development of communications for CI key stakeholders
Development of tools to support trending analysis from various quality data sets
Participating in process improvements
Development of a capstone presentation illustrating internship activities and deliverables
Required Education And Skills
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA/BEng (or equivalent program) in a quantitative and/or technical field of study.
Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2026.
Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of collegiate study by June of 2026.
Candidates must have Programming and data analytics experience
Candidates must have interest in managing quality and compliance driven projects
Preferred Experience And Skills
Interest in data analytics and visualization
Knowledge of SQL, R, or Python is a plus
Basic knowledge of database systems (end user experience)
Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query, Power Aps)

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD
