Position Title: Co-op - Business Systems Analyst, IT FinOps

Reports To: Manager, IT FinOps

Department: IT Infrastructure

Term: Temporary Full-Time, Eight (8) Month Contract (Preferred) or Four (4) Month Contract

Work Term: Eight (8) Month Contract: January 5, 2026 to August 21, 2026 or Four (4) Month Contract: January 5, 2026 to April 24, 2026

Salary: According to the school's recommended Co-op earnings

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Opportunity: As a Co-op - Business Systems Analyst, IT FinOps, you will be part of an amazing team responsible for designing and optimizing the execution of enterprise IT financial operations such as financial, asset, vendor, and procurement processes. In addition, this role will oversee vendor and procurement processes across the organization. Further, this role will have direct accountability for the systems and platforms to deliver the expected process outcomes.

What you will be doing:

Support daily purchasing and procurement operations, including purchase order & invoice processing, subscription/license management and new vendor onboarding
Participate in the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards for key IT financial, asset and enterprise vendor information
Participate in audit and compliance processes and outcomes related to vendors and assets.
Participate in expense/budget tracking, variance analysis, reconciliation and forecasting activities
Work with leading technologies including Microsoft 365 (Copilot AI, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform) and ServiceNow

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program that includes a Co-operative (Co-op) work component
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop platforms and Office 365 applications
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI or equivalent.
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a team environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Work independently on non-complex projects and as part of team on complex projects
