Founding Full Stack Engineer (React & TypeScript)

Location: Shoreditch, London (in person, five days a week)

Salary: PS60-70K

We're looking for someone who loves building things from scratch and wants to be part of a small team where every idea and every line of code matters.

You'll be the first founding engineer, sitting alongside the core team, owning the stack and shaping the product as it grows.

If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, moving fast, and seeing your work used right away, this could be for you.

What you'll be doing

Building and improving web apps with React, TypeScript and Nest.js
Designing and managing databases in Postgres
Creating features like search, interactive maps, listing flows and trust graphs
Working across the stack, from clean and thoughtful interfaces to reliable backend services
Helping prepare for a future iOS app and an AI powered marketplace
Making technical decisions that shape how the product evolves
Keeping things smooth with testing, CI/CD and documentation

What we're looking for

Experience building modern web applications end to end
Comfortable working with SQL databases and APIs
Care about design and usability, keeping things clear and simple
Someone curious, collaborative and quick to learn
Two or more years of professional experience, or strong project work that shows you can build things properly
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or something similar

Nice to have

TailwindCSS or data visualisation libraries
Real time systems like WebSockets, Kafka or RabbitMQ
Docker, Terraform or cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana or Sentry
Open source projects or a GitHub portfolio you're proud of

Why this role

You'll have a real say in how the product is built, work side by side with the founding team, and see your work go live quickly.
We work hard and move quickly, but also make sure to rest properly so it's sustainable.
Expect focused days in person during the week, with flexibility to work remotely on weekends if you prefer.

Salary is PS60-70k with equity on top, bringing the total package to PS160-170k.
