Job Specifications

Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

Role: The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for the configuration control and management of the VIDA DMS system, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain configuration management policies, procedures, and baselines.
Manage version control, system documentation, and change management processes.
Ensure software and hardware configurations align with VIDA DMS standards.
Maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and track all system changes.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with DoD and federal configuration management policies.
Work closely with software developers, testers, and IT administrators to enforce CM best practices.
Generate reports and dashboards on system status, updates, and change requests.
Support lifecycle management of software releases and deployment schedules.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in configuration management or IT asset management.
Experience with software configuration tools such as Git, Subversion, or ServiceNow CMDB.
Familiarity with DoD security and configuration management standards (e.g., DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53).

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to document system configurations effectively.
Proficiency in CM tools and version control platforms.
Understanding of Agile software development processes.

Certifications:

Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP) (preferred).
ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
CompTIA Security+ (preferred).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
