Job Specifications

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years System Administrator with both Windows and Linux servers

- Experience implementing security controls within a DOD space (ex. NIST, DFARS, and RMF)

- Active Directory Management experience: managing and troubleshooting GPO's, DNS, TCP/IP, and DHCP

- Experience tuning and troubleshooting system performance

- Must be solid with LDAP, DNS and networking

- Experience with VMware/VDI/esx

- Previous experience working in the defense space

- Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc)

- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development

- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Ansible configuration management skills

- Terraform or CloudFormation

- Kubernetes for containerization

- Networking concepts (TCP, firewalls, traffic flows)

- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification

Job Description

One of the world's largest DoD and Intel contracting companies is seeking an System Administrator to support the Cyber and Compliance Teams to maintain company security standards and DFARS requirements which includes assessments, implementation steps, and ensuring the integrity of the security authorization package.

• This person will utilize their knowledge and skills regarding System & Service integration to authentication protocols, patch management, network segregation, and vulnerability management. He or she will work in a collaborative, multi cross functional team environment. The system administrator will develop troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical and environmental issues within Engineering and Factory spaces.

• We are specifically looking for a technical resource with a background in security controls and compliance to help complete a proactive security assessment of systems. These individuals will be reaching out to active sites with Linux and Windows servers to ensure compliance an security standards are up to par.

• This individual should have an in depth understanding of NIST as well as implementing NIST, RMF and other security protocols. He or she should know how to implement and remediate password policies, administer patch management, and troubleshoot user access and privileged accounts.

Must be onsite 5 days a week in El Segundo, CA.

There could be minimal travel once every few months to major sites.

Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
