Quality Assurance Consultant (Junior-Mid Level)

Preferably hybrid-onsite in San Diego, CA with remote flexibility for the right candidate

We're an innovative diagnostics start-up seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Consultant to support the implementation and execution of our quality systems during a critical growth phase. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level QA professional with a scientific background to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

What You'll Do:

Support the implementation of ISO 13485 processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Partner with lab teams to validate systems (including inventory management tools) and document processes.
Assist in creating and maintaining data logs for media labs, ensuring reagents, products, and consumables meet quality standards.
Contribute to inventory management and equipment scheduling, ensuring preventive maintenance and calibration activities are tracked and completed.
Detect and escalate issues promptly, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Help establish and execute new QA processes as the company scales, including during potential facility moves or system expansions.

What We're Looking For:

1-4 years of QA experience in life sciences, medtech, diagnostics, or IVD.
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and quality system requirements.
Strong scientific background (e.g., Engineering, Biology, Life Sciences, or related field).
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a start-up environment where processes are being built from the ground up.
Hands-on contributor -- someone eager not just to review but to execute QA processes.
