About the team
Roku's Viewer Product team owns the ever-evolving end-to-end experience for the hundreds of millions of people who hit OK on their Roku remote every day. We design, build, and optimize everything they see--from the Roku OS home screen, Live TV Guide, and Sports Zone to the Roku Channel app on and off-platform--and power it all with our Consumer-AI personalization engine, which is also used for these experiences, as well as the billions of searches performed. Our global, cross-functional squad of product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers spans San Jose, New York, Santa Monica, Austin, Boston, the UK, Mexico, and India. Our mission is to connect 400 million viewers worldwide to their favorite entertainment through a uniquely Roku experience that is simple and delightful.
About the role
You'll be central to Roku's mission of delivering outstanding streaming experiences to over 120 million daily viewers. Reporting directly to the VP of Viewer Product, you'll drive operational excellence, streamline resource utilization, and shape how we build products across Roku OS devices, the Roku Channel App, Mobile Apps, and our Consumer AI platform, which powers personalization. You'll also lead the adoption of AI and new technologies to boost the efficiency and innovation of product teams.
For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $210,000 - $315,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you'll be doing
Strategic Planning & Resource Optimization: Lead quarterly and annual planning for a team of 500+ across product, engineering, and UX, aligning $ 150 M+ in annual headcount budget to strategic goals. Identify gaps and proactively adjust the allocation of employees to cross-functional teams that will maximize business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Execution: Drive critical programs and special projects across Product, Engineering, UX, Analytics, Ads, Subscriptions, Devices, and FP&A--acting as the VP's proxy when needed.
Operational Excellence & AI Adoption: Identify and solve friction points, integrating AI-driven tools and processes. Facilitate strategic forums, including bi-weekly leadership syncs and semi-annual off-sites.
Stakeholder Communication: Develop clear and impactful reports and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders and quarterly business reviews. Be a trusted advisor, delivering candid insights to enable quick, informed decisions.
We're excited if you have
6-12 years in business operations, product/program operations, or product management in fast-paced tech environments.
A bold truth-teller mindset--comfortable providing direct feedback and highly trusted across all organizational levels.
Exceptional communication skills, adept at influencing senior stakeholders.
Passion for emerging AI technologies and experience driving their adoption within teams.
Proficient with Excel, Jira, Confluence, and AI tools in your daily work.
Strong business judgment (MBA or equivalent preferred).
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker.
This role accelerates your path to Director-level leadership in Product, Business Operations, or General Management. You'll significantly expand your operational expertise, strategic impact, and executive network at one of the world's largest and fastest-growing streaming platforms.
AI literacy and curiosity. You have either 1) tried Gen AI in your previous work or outside of work, or 2) are curious about Gen AI and have explored it.
