Data Analyst

My International client is seeking to expand its team in various IT disciplines including Data Analysis. They are seeking a Data Analyst to join the project on a long term contract assignment. The work will be carried out at the customer site in Strasbourg, France. Please note candidates need to be EU citizens to be considered for this role.

Key tasks and Responsibilities of the Data Analyst

Represent business challenges through mathematical models
Collect, understand, clean, analyse, integrat,e and investigate internal and external data to achieve the mission
Uncover data correlations/relationships in support of measurement and prediction
Select and optimise algorithms using data science tools
Comply with ethical guidelines and legal requirements
Identify the right visualisation models depending on the business challenges and the data sets
Create and test hypotheses
Address data security through active preventative strategies
Lead the process of applying data analytics
Deliver insights from data by optimising the analytics process and presenting visual data representations
Find, manage, and merge multiple data sources and ensure consistency of datasets
Communicate patterns and recommend ways of applying data
Analyse and provide expertise in advanced analytics topics, from a hardware perspective to software optimisation
Provide inputs to increase the business values of reporting-related activities
Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting and advanced analytics requirements
Identify and propose quick wins with good value to enhance agency agility using big data and advanced analytics
Identify solutions to big data and advanced analytics-related problems

Requested skills and experience of the Data Analyst

Minimum 4 years of relevant education (Master's degree or equivalent), after secondary school
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in Data Analysis
Capability to set effective KPIs, read and interpret business data
Aptitude to spot opportunities for value-adding data analysis
Familiarity with practices in the area of work that serve end customers and other stakeholders
Capacity to align activities with business priorities and balance competing interests to drive organizational effectiveness
Proficiency in communicating efficiently
In-depth expertise in mathematical models
Competence in using data analysis tools (Power BI, etc.)
Understanding of AI tools related to data processing
Acquaintance with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
Command of BIGSQL Data Modelling Language and SQL
Experience with Cognos as a user and administrator
Exposure to Scikit-learn, ELKI, and other analytics libraries
