Job Specifications
Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract-to-Hire job with a client in McLean, VA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have experience in Java/J2EE development, Spring Boot, relational databases (DB2/Postgres), and experience with tools such as Apigee, Selenium, and JavaScript.
Rate Range: $60.00/hour to $67.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Developer Job Responsibilities Include
Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support enterprise-level Java/J2EE applications
Participate in both development and testing (manual and automation) activities within Agile sprints
Build and maintain test automation suites
Conduct code reviews and participate in design reviews to ensure best practices
Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation
Support planning activities and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to new team members
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development and production support
2+ years of experience with Spring Boot, relational databases (DB2/Postgres), SQL, and web services
Experience with Apigee, Selenium, JavaScript, and test automation
Familiarity with Angular, AWS, Shell Scripting, Autosys is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $60.00 to $67.00 per hour
