About The Role

The Department of Computer Science wishes to appoint a Research Finance Assistant. This role provides administrative assistance for the research function in the Department, primarily the financial management of research grants and contracts, and support grant investigators.

Flexible Working

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.

About You

You will be educated to at least GCSE level in Maths and English, with the ability to communicate with both staff and students in a conscientious and inclusive way.

You will be supporting a wide variety of projects and administrative tasks so the ability to keep yourself well organised and prioritise your work while following set regulations and procedures is important.

There are a range of IT systems you will be required to use so IT skills and aptitude to quickly learn new systems are essential, but training will also be provided.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for the applicant to increase or extend their experience and knowledge in a positive and supportive department.
