Job Specifications

We are seeking a motivated Data Security Analyst Intern to join our cybersecurity team. This internship provides hands-on experience in analyzing security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting incident response activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, foundational technical knowledge, and a keen interest in data security and threat intelligence.

Responsibilities

Assist in analyzing data security incidents using tools such as CrowdStrike and other technologies.
Support incident response efforts, including containment, evidence gathering, and forensic analysis.
Contribute to vulnerability assessments of critical systems and applications, helping identify and remediate risks.
Monitor and analyze security event logs, alerts, and reports to detect threats and unusual activity.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather security requirements and implement controls.
Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, including incident reports, SOPs, and security guidelines.
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats to help enhance team capabilities.

Candidate Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field (3 years).
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
Ability to follow organizational standard operating procedures (SOPs) for approvals and reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated interest in data security, incident response, and threat intelligence.
Familiarity with CrowdStrike or other cybersecurity tools.
Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and security methodologies.

Basic understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and core security concepts
