Job Description
What will you work on?
As a member of the Spin Master IT Business Analysis Team, you will work with a team of project professionals to ensure the successful delivery of a portfolio of medium to large scale global projects. Reporting to the Manager, IT Business Analysis, you will be accountable for helping the PMO assess the scope and viability of new projects, support technical teams in the delivery of projects, and contribute to the continual growth and health of the Spin Master Business Analysis Practice.
How will you create impact?
Understand organizational, business unit and departmental strategies and goals as well as core systems, applications, and technical platforms
Identify opportunities for business processes improvement through technology or process changes and conduct impact analysis for proposed changes
Translate identified business needs into clear, structured, and actionable requirements that guide solution design, development and implementation
Lead requirements elicitation activities and manage requirements throughout the project's lifecycle to ensure adherence to established scope and traceability to the business objectives
Liaise between cross-functional teams including business teams, technical teams, and vendors to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of requirements
Support decision making through presentation of analysis findings, and updates to leadership teams
Apply business analysis best practices and ensure deliverables align with BA and PMO frameworks
Collaborate on the vendor evaluation processes including RFP development and solution scoring as we;; as collaborate on solution design, implementation, test, and evaluation, to advocate for business needs, and ensure alignment of requirements and solution
Partner with project managers to ensure successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous, complex IT initiatives
Support and contribute to change management planning and activities
Contribute to the continued growth of Business Analysis and project management best practices at Spin Master
What are your skills and experience?
Post-secondary degree in Business, Information Technology, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Experience as a Business Analyst, Business System Analyst, or related role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, process automation, and data-driven solutions; experience with both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365) is an asset
Proficiency in process modeling tools such as Visio, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Prior experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
Experience in supply chain is an asset
CBAP is preferred; PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum certifications, are an asset
