Referment have recently partnered with a commodities trading firm who are building a new Gas and Power trading desk. They are now looking to add some key people into their IT and Technology team, including a Trading Desktop Support Engineer. This is the first Desktop hire for the firm, meaning there is a lot of opportunity for growth and impact for the successful applicant.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Desktop Support experience in a front office trading environment at either another commodities trading firm or hedge fund. You will directly support Traders and Analysts so must be able to work in a high pressured, fast paced environment where urgency and customer service is a priority. It's a fully cloud based technology stack so strong InTune, Office 365 and Scripting skills are required to be a good fit for this role.

Key Requirements

5 years + experience working as a Desktop Engineer for a commodities trading firm or hedge fund business
Experience supporting traders in a high pressurised, fast paced environment
Strong Microsoft InTune experience for deploying new applications and MAM/MDM solutions
Extensive experience with Cloud based desktop technologies such as Azure and Office 365
Hands on experience building out a full stack IT infrastructure including facilities like server rooms, structured cabling, desk configuration, CCTV, Alarm Systems, Environment Monitoring, Audio Visual systems, access control, cooling and redundant power solutions
