Job Specifications

IT System Administrator

Pay Rate/Range: $30.00 to $50.00

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location: Onsite in Austin, TX

Duration: 6 months

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day technical support for local and remote employees regarding hardware, software, and networking issues on laptops and mobile devices.
Assist in IT asset life cycle management, including imaging, configuring, and migrating systems for new hires and existing employees.
Support hardware and software installations; assist with system rollouts to end users/groups.
Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security.
Manage logistical aspects of laptop and accessory distribution at the Austin, TX office, including asset tracking, inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
Oversee retirement and secure disposal of IT assets as needed.
Develop, document, implement, and communicate standard operating procedures and instructional guidelines for IT teams and end users.
Participate in software and hardware testing, providing detailed technical feedback.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with maintenance of network equipment, phones, and teleconference systems.
Support IT teams with hardware, software, and project-related needs.
Provide assistance in computer room and data center operations.

Skills & Knowledge:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced experience with Excel and SharePoint is a plus.
Working knowledge of iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
Strong understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
Skilled at explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Capable of conducting training programs for end users on applications and systems.
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to transition quickly between issues.
High level of accountability and ability to manage initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision.
