The Opportunity

Intent HQ is embarking on the journey of building a next-generation data and AI platform to collate and analyze highly granular behavioral intent data across web and mobile. We're seeking an experienced, infrastructure-focused engineer to help shape this vision--integrating data from a variety of SDKs and building a rock-solid foundation that makes handling large-scale data feel seamless and reliable.

What You'll Do

Architect and implement resilient, always-on infrastructure to ingest data, starting with our highly successful, privacy-first mobile telemetry product.

Partner with our AI and Data teams, ensuring the platform is ready to support advanced ML systems.
Champion an SRE culture--building proactive monitoring and systems that detect issues before they impact customers.
Define a clear path for onboarding existing systems and customers onto the new platform.
Contribute to the maturation of release and deployment practices across the company.
Optimise costs and reuse infrastructure wherever possible to maximize efficiency.
Provide operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.

Essential

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering roles.
Strong experience with at least one major public cloud (we primarily use AWS).
Awareness of how infrastructure and platform decisions impact downstream systems.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform.
Practical experience deploying and operating Kafka-based infrastructure.
Solid scripting/software skills in Python.

Desired (but Not Essential)

Experience with telemetry or IoT workloads.
Familiarity with Databricks.
Background in infrastructure teams supporting high-scale data or ML applications.
