Cloud/Devops Platform Engineer (Azure/Terraform) - Edinburgh - 6 month Contract opportunity - Inside IR35 - Edinburgh hybrid (one to two days per week)
Evolve IT Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Platform Engineer with extensive experience in Azure and Terraform to work with one of our clients based in Edinburgh.
You will be responsible for ensuring application delivery is as efficient as possible by automating the provisioning of resources and application needs, you will also focus on developing infrastructure-as-code deployment processes and help developers reduce application provisioning time.
Other responsibilities include:
- Help simplify provisioning, management and decommission of the resources applications require to run over its lifecycle
- Provide input into the execution of projects in the team and wider organisation
- Build relationships with users to help improve the service offered
- Coach and mentor others as needed
Experience required:
- Extensive knowledge in Azure
- Terraform
- Cloud Adoption Framework experience
- Toolsets that help automation observability to provide performance insight
- Experience developing/maintaining developer self-service platforms
- Any exposure to AWS or GCP is advantageous
- Any experience with FinOps patterns and practices (Inform, Optimise, Operate)
