Base $200k-$250k + Discretionary Bonus

Venture Search is working with an Elite Prop Trading firm looking for a talented and driven Machine Learning Researcher to join a growing data science team within a leading trading environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by delivering data-driven insights, developing high-quality research tools, and supporting innovative trading strategies.

What you'll do

Develop predictive models and uncover new trading opportunities using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
Design and maintain scalable data pipelines with modern CI/CD practices.
Translate machine learning models into production-ready code.
Support and enhance existing trading strategies while contributing to the development of new ones.
Keep up to date with the latest research and ML approaches relevant to time-series and trading applications.

What we're looking for

Degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or another quantitative field (Master's/PhD preferred, but not essential with strong experience).
Solid programming skills in Python (C++ experience a plus).
Strong grounding in probability, statistics, and machine learning.
Experience with distributed computing and Linux environments.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices (TDD, CI/CD).
Excellent communication and ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience applying ML techniques to trading problems.
Exposure to HPC environments (e.g. SLURM).
Experience with orchestration/container tools such as Docker, Airflow, or Prefect.
