Overview

At KPMG, you'll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

Our Technology, Strategy and Transformation (TST) team in Calgary is looking for a consultant to support clients in the energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in business development and practice growth activities, supporting the planning and management of client engagements, and contributing to the day-to-day operation and execution of services in this team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality analysis and insights across a breadth of business.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including

Supporting TST advisory engagements including IT strategy, digital transformation, and IT operating model design.
Support the development of the Technology, Strategy, & Transformation practice.
Developing and maintaining relationships with industry IT and business leaders
Work with technology solution teams to identify and support implementations
Supporting client meetings and the team in developing presentation materials for project kick-off meetings, requirements gathering, project management, presentation of results, etc.
Supporting implementation of roadmaps across all IT domains, including process and data flow, governance frameworks, quality management programs, platform modernization & rationalization, governance frameworks, business cases, cost/benefit analyses, etc
Supporting and guiding clients in implementing recommendations.
Assisting with business and practice development efforts by preparing proposals, marketing material, internal and external presentations, seminar materials, articles, etc.
Delivering high-quality work on time that meets the Firm's quality standards and client expectations
Working with cross-functional teams with people of diverse backgrounds and skill sets
Applying best practice and process maturity knowledge observed in client engagements and personal research
Travel may be up to 30%

What You Bring To The Role

Ideally, you have will have 2-3 years of post-graduation experience, with skills and/or interest in some of the following
Energy and utilities industry.
Large-scale IT transformation initiatives.
AI, enterprise architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital platforms.
ERP implementation.
Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
