Job Specifications

Tektronix is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead initiatives in predictive modeling, data analysis, database development, process improvement, and technology enablement. This role will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to deliver actionable insights, modernize reporting, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Science & Business Insights
Design and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to uncover trends and forecast business outcomes.
Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to build DVMs that support decision-making.
Examples of Work:
Predictive models/forecasts for bookings (orders) and prebuild to improve accuracy.
Modernizing indirect models to anticipate high running products by AP/Quarter.
Standardizing PowerBI reporting globally, lifting best practice and implementing across regions.
Data Analysis & Market Intelligence
Conduct analysis on customer behavior, market trends, and competitive positioning.
Build market segmentation models to support targeted sales and marketing efforts.
Deliver regular performance reports and ad hoc analyses to senior leadership.

Examples Of Work

Competitive benchmarking and competitive price positioning.
Leveraging GenAI for competitive information, performance, and growth across verticals/horizontals.
Executive summaries for key business areas, including L1 Leadership, Engineering, and Sales.
Database Development & Infrastructure
Architect scalable databases and data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.
Integrate structured and unstructured data sources into centralized repositories.
Ensure data security, access control, and backup protocols are in place.
PE Data through OAC.
Database integrity and model input integrity.
Automated insights from DVM.
Process Improvement via Lean & AI/Tech
Apply RBS (Ralliant Business System) tools to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
Implement AI-driven automation for commissions and deal management processes.
Lead kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across sales and operations.
Commissions process improvements, including automation into POS and EA calculations.
CPQ and deal management process improvements, including system integrations/configurations.
Develop fluency in 2-3 RBS tools to support continuous improvement across GCO/Sales.

Technology Enablement & Innovation

Champion the adoption of digital tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, RPA) to enhance productivity and visibility.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that align with commercial priorities (e.g., CPQ, e-commerce platforms).
Serve as a liaison between business and IT to ensure technology solutions meet commercial needs.
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as a strategic partner to sales, marketing, finance, and IT teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
Mentor GCO analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of data literacy and innovation.
Lead cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

Strong background in data science, business intelligence, and predictive analytics.
Proficiency in Power BI, data modeling, and database architecture.
Experience applying Lean/continuous improvement tools and AI-driven automation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Prior experience in a commercial, sales, or operations environment preferred.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or Management Science & Engineering.
Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Management Science & Engineering preferred but not required.
Internship, co-op, research, or project experience in data analysis, predictive modeling, or business intelligence.
Exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or machine learning frameworks.
Familiarity with data visualization, database concepts, and business reporting.
Interest in developing fluency with RBS (Ralliant Business System) tools, Lean methods, and AI-driven process improvement.
