Our client, a leading organization in the technology infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Cable / Structured Cabling Technician ONSITE to join their team. As a Data Center Cable / Structured Cabling Technician ONSITE, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team supporting critical data center operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Cable / Structured Cabling Technician ONSITE
Location: Milwaukee (Racine County), Wisconsin
Pay Range: $35-38/Hour on W2
What's the Job?
Install, dress, organize, label, patch, and test fiber & copper cabling
Pull and route cables in trays, conduits, overhead, underfloor paths
Terminate and test cables using OTDR, power meters, and other testing tools
Assist in rack & stack operations and correlate cabling to equipment
Maintain strict cable management and documentation standards
What's Needed?
Experience with fiber & copper cabling, terminations, and testing
Familiarity with structured cabling standards (TIA-568, BICSI practices)
Ability to read cable schematics, maps, and labeling standards
Dexterity, patience, and strong attention to detail
Associate Degree in a related field
