Position Overview

The Sr. National Accounts Manager role is responsible for managing and growing national or major retail/grocery accounts by executing sales strategies that drive profitability and ensure customer satisfaction. Develops strong relationships with key decision-makers, leverages data-driven insights to identify opportunities, and collaborates cross-functionally to optimize account performance.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

Owns and manages sales execution for assigned national or major retail/grocery accounts, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
Develops relationships and conducts sales calls with key decision makers at Sam's Club, delivering compelling presentations on pricing, products, and promotional programs.
Analyzes sales data and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth and increased account penetration.
Develops and implements omni-channel sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Oversees customer Joint Business Planning
Optimizes promotional trade spend to maximize margin, revenue and volume growth.
Oversees execution of National Retail Account resets and new store setups to ensure seamless implementation.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Supply Chain, to optimize inventory planning, pricing strategies, and promotional execution.
Supports the development of long-term strategic planning, annual operating plans, and major product launches.
Represents the company at key industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to enhance visibility and business development.
Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights on sales performance, trends, and growth opportunities.
Ensures compliance with pricing strategies and promotional trade programs aligned with company objectives.
May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred.
3 years of successful CPG sales experience in the retail/grocery industry; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources
Strong knowledge of Sam's Club systems, particularly Retail Link, MADRID 2.0, Quest and IDM required. Experience with Circana or IRI is preferred.
Fluent in Microsoft office
3-5 years' experience selling directly to Sam's Club
Valid driver's license.
Advanced account management with track record of success
