DevSecOps Engineer - Irvine, CA (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite)

We're supporting a pioneering aerospace & technology company that is scaling its U.S. engineering function. They are building a small, high-impact DevOps & Cloud Security team in Irvine, CA, and are looking for DevSecOps Engineers (mid-senior) to join them.

This isn't a "keep the lights on" maintenance role - it's about building and securing AWS cloud environments from the ground up. You'll codify security frameworks into infrastructure-as-code, automate deployments, and ensure resilient, mission-critical systems.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing and implementing secure AWS architectures, with a focus on scalability and resilience.
Embedding NIST 800-171 (or related frameworks) into infrastructure and pipelines.
Automating monitoring and security checks using tools like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, and third-party SIEM.
Collaborating with security leads and DevOps engineers to integrate compliance into every build.
Writing Python/Bash scripts and working with Terraform/Ansible to deliver IaC.
Contributing to DevOps sprints while also leading on security-focused initiatives.

What We're Looking For

2+ years in cloud security engineering/DevSecOps, ideally in AWS.
Strong IaC skills (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, container security.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, etc.).
Scripting/coding ability in Python/Bash.
Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-ownership culture - not just maintaining systems but building them right.
