Communications Project Officer - Permanent Contract - Strasbourg (with partial remote work)

What if your communication skills could help shape the future of science across Europe? Manpower Sales & Marketing is recruiting on behalf of an international non-profit organisation that plays a key role in supporting high-impact scientific research. For decades, this organisation has been working behind the scenes to empower research communities, manage complex projects, and ensure that science reaches the audiences it deserves.

At the heart of this mission is a multicultural, dynamic team committed to making science visible, accessible, and impactful.

Your mission: bring scientific stories to life

As a Communications Project Officer, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering communication strategies that amplify the reach of European research projects. From digital content creation to stakeholder engagement, you'll help shape narratives that inspire and inform.

You'll collaborate with scientists, project partners, and creative professionals across Europe, in a role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement communication plans for EU-funded projects and corporate initiatives;
Write and optimise content for websites, newsletters, and publications;
Manage social media accounts and create engaging digital content (including short videos);
Maintain and update websites (WordPress), monitor performance, and manage CMS/plugins;
Coordinate the production of print and digital materials with external providers or in-house;
Handle media relations and draft effective press releases;
Engage project partners and stakeholders, and manage online communities;
Support the organisation of events and participate in project coordination meetings;
Report on communication activities and outcomes.

What we're looking for:

1-3 years of experience in communications or science communication at project or institutional level;
Solid web management skills (WordPress, HTML/CSS);
Experience in social media strategy and campaign management;
Graphic design skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and video editing are a plus;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C2 level);
Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, engaging messages.

Your strengths:

Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines;
Excellent intercultural communication and presentation skills;
Proactive mindset, autonomy, and initiative;
A collaborative spirit and a passion for meaningful work.

What's offered:

Full-time permanent position (CDI), starting as soon as possible;
Based in Strasbourg, with up to 3 remote work days per week (max. 10 days/month);
Occasional travel within Europe;
A supportive, international work environment where your ideas matter.

Why apply?

Because you want to use your creativity to serve a greater purpose. Because you believe science should be shared, celebrated, and understood. And because you're ready to grow in a role that connects communication, collaboration, and impact.
