Job Specifications

Working with one of the top clients, this role calls for a Technical Product Owner - Legacy Modernization/Transformation who will lead product strategy and execution across a multi-year modernization initiative. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in product ownership, backlog management, Agile delivery, and digital transformation. You'll be relied upon to bridge business and technical teams, define clear requirements, and champion modernization efforts by integrating modern platforms with legacy systems to deliver enterprise-wide impact.

Responsibilities

Own and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and transformation goals.
Define, refine, and prioritize user stories in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams.
Track burn rate, velocity, and sprint commitments to ensure delivery milestones are consistently achieved.
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Translate business features into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
Partner with development teams to monitor progress, remove blockers, and escalate issues requiring business input.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, managing expectations and navigating challenging conversations.
Provide technical insight when integrating modern platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) with legacy systems via APIs.
Champion modernization and transformation initiatives, migrating from legacy systems to modern digital solutions.

Desired Skill Set

Proven experience leading modernization and digital transformation projects.
8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and ceremonies.
Technical background in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex, cross-platform transformation initiatives.

Nice-to-Have

Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
Hands-on experience with API integrations and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
