Location: Hybrid, London
Duration: 6 months
Rate: PS550-PS650 per day (all-in, inside IR35)
Start date: ASAP

Our client is a global IT services and consulting organisation, working with leading enterprises across financial services and insurance to deliver technology-driven transformation. They are helping clients harness the latest in AI, cloud, and data solutions to drive meaningful change across complex business environments.

They are now seeking a Gen AI Lead to play a critical role in shaping and delivering next-generation Generative AI solutions. This role requires a mix of deep technical expertise, hands-on delivery capability, and the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience in the insurance sector is a strong plus given the focus of the projects.

What you'll be doing:

Leading the design and development of Generative AI solutions.
Researching and applying cutting-edge methodologies and approaches.
Driving projects from design, through proof of concept, into production.
Delivering data science solutions across diverse and complex data sources.
Leading stakeholder engagement and issue resolution.
Identifying, sourcing, and engineering data to support AI initiatives.
Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Ensuring solutions are well-documented, quality assured, and compliant with governance and risk processes.

What we're looking for:

Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science) or equivalent experience.
Strong hands-on experience working with large datasets.
Knowledge of a broad range of Generative AI models and understanding of large language model architectures.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for AI/ML development and data manipulation.
Experience with Azure and AWS cloud-native tooling.
Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau (beneficial, not essential).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Background in insurance or financial services is highly advantageous.
