Are you ready to take ownership of a platform that's transforming how fans support athletes,
clubs, and associations?
Lokkaroom is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growing marketing-led business in
Plymouth. This is our first in-house dev hire, giving you the unique opportunity to take control of
the technology stack, collaborate with cutting-edge partners, and build your own team as the
company scales.
Our mission? Revolutionise how sports are funded, engaged with, and marketed - globally.
What You'll Do:
- Own and manage Lokkaroom's web and backend platform
- Work with our external tech partners (Noumi, Stripe, Shopify, Thinkific, Eventcube, and
Hedera)
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, production-ready code
- Optimise user flows, membership programs, e-commerce and digital receipt experiences
- Integrate third-party APIs and components across payments, e-commerce, ticketing, and
learning
- Lead technical strategy decisions and contribute to overall product direction
- Handle occasional client-facing calls with our marketing/commercial teams
- Potential to recruit and manage a development team as we scale

Tech Stack & Tools We Use
- Frontend: JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS/SASS
- Backend: Node.js, Express, Python or PHP (preferred for integrations)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Firebase, MongoDB
- APIs/Platforms: Stripe, Shopify, Eventcube, Noumi, Thinkific, Hedera
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years full stack development experience
- Strong API integration experience
- Experience in e-commerce, ticketing or payment platforms
- Excellent debugging and communication skills
- Plymouth-based and office-based only (no remote/hybrid)
- References and code samples required
- Bonus: Startup or sports-industry experience
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Carry out a full audit of the systems and write a roadmap in 60 days
- Assess partners and skills and recommend roadmap for in-house control; report within 75
days
- Work with the management team to agree new features, timings, and costs
- Fix urgent bugs and ensure uptime during overhaul
- Advise on realistic 90-day and 180-day goals for Lokkaroom and associated sites
- Review options around apps and report within 60 days
