LEARNING DESIGNER (Online Content)

Initial 6mth contract, likely to extend

100% remote

After successfully placing two individuals into this team, they are looking to add a 3rd to the team due to continued increase in demand. Therefore, seeking an experienced online content Learning Designer to join the L&D design function creating solutions that have a lasting impact for our colleagues across in the US and Canada.

As an online content Learning Designer, you'll lead collaborative workshops to define business outcomes, conduct user research, and employ a human-centered approach to design tailored solutions that are online.

Responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to define the requirements and determine clear, measurable, business outcomes for online initiatives.
Conduct user research to understand learner concerns, needs, and challenges. Presenting findings to stakeholders and ensuring online learning solutions are tailored to users' requirements.
Apply a human-centered approach, to design and develop a range of online learning solutions that resonate with the target audience and have lasting impact.
Proactively engage and manage stakeholders, including subject matter experts, throughout the design process from concept to implementation to ensure online learning solutions align with business goals, timelines, and expectations.
Facilitating the online Learning Design process consistently and effectively across each project.
Influence and consult with the business to adopt the right approach and roll out, recommending learning or non-learning interventions, to achieve business objectives.

Background, Skills and Education:

Proficient in learning and creative design software (Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud) and can use it to create designs with a high quality look and feel.
Proficient in visual design principles to create aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly online learning materials.
Self-driven, taking initiative and ownership of projects with an ability to exercise good judgement, collaborate, make decisions, and manage risks, escalating when it's appropriate.
Good track record of applying learning theory and broader design principles to underpin the work you do. Along with an inquisitiveness to explore theories and principles outside of Learning & Development.
Experienced using LMS' and can take a creative approach to hosting solutions.
Deep sense of curiosity and creativity, with a genuine care for how people learn and develop.
A great attention to detail, caring about the quality of work delivered whilst remaining adaptable to shifting project demands.
