Job Title: Grafana Cloud Engineer (Enterprise Edition)

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Grafana Cloud Engineer with direct experience using Grafana Cloud Enterprise and managing Grafana Alloy agents. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining observability solutions across our infrastructure using the latest Grafana Cloud stack. You'll work closely with our SRE, DevOps, and application teams to ensure metrics, logs, and traces are collected efficiently and visualized effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement observability solutions using Grafana Cloud Enterprise for multi-tenant or large-scale environments.
Deploy, configure, and manage Grafana Alloy agents to collect metrics, logs, and traces from cloud-native and hybrid environments.
Create and maintain advanced Grafana dashboards for engineering, SRE, and business teams.
Integrate Alloy agents with Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo pipelines.
Define and manage alerting rules using Alertmanager and Grafana Alerting.
Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end observability coverage.
Tune data collection performance and optimize cardinality, retention, and cost in Grafana Cloud.
Document configuration standards and best practices for observability tools.
Required Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Grafana Cloud Enterprise (not just self-hosted Grafana OSS).
Proficient in deploying and managing Grafana Alloy agents in Linux-based environments (Kubernetes, VMs, containers).
Familiarity with Prometheus-style metrics, Loki logs, and Tempo traces.
Experience creating and customizing Grafana dashboards using variables, annotations, and advanced panels.
Understanding of cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Comfortable with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform) and GitOps practices.
Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for agent automation and system monitoring.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Grafana Mimir, Pyroscope, or Grafana OnCall.
Familiarity with Kubernetes observability using Alloy, kube-state-metrics, and node_exporter.
Experience migrating observability tooling to Grafana Cloud.
Basic knowledge of OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
