AI Engineer - Contract - Sheffield - Hybrid - PS450-PS550/day Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join a leading financial services project based in Sheffield. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning solutions with a focus on NLP, Chatbots, Model Monitoring, and Data Engineering.

Role Details:

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid, 2 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months (extension likely)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, prototype, and implement AI/ML solutions in Python.
Develop Chatbots and NLP pipelines, including classification, clustering, and embedding models.
Work with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch).
Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate on data wrangling, feature engineering, and model deployment.

Essential Skills:

Strong hands-on Python development (Numpy, Pandas, PyCharm).
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP experience.
Chatbot development background.
Database skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins.

Nice-to-Have:

Computer Vision, Image/Text extraction.
Document classifiers, PII detection.
Large Language Models (LLMs), AgentEval.
Experience in Agile delivery.
