Position: Senior DevOps Cloud Solutions Engineer
Duration: 6-month contract to permanent
Pay Rate: $65-75/hour (depending on experience)
Location: ONSITE in San Antonio, TX 78232 or Houston, TX 77007
Schedule: 8am-5pm (after-hours availability as needed)
Must Haves:
7+ year of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure solutions
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation and tooling
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins, including pipeline creation and maintenance
Experience working within Linux and Windows environments
Experience working with a ticketing system (e.g., ConnectWise, Jira, ServiceNow) for issue tracking and workflow management
Prior experience working in a fast-paced client-facing or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, supporting multiple clients with varying infrastructure needs
Plusses:
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar
Experience with:
Microsoft 365 integration and automation
Containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform
Monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
Overview
Insight Global is seeking a client-facing, consulting-oriented Senior DevOps Cloud Solutions Engineer to support high-value enterprise clients, including organizations with revenues exceeding $1B. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical SME who can architect scalable solutions, drive DevOps best practices, and collaborate effectively with both internal development teams and external stakeholders. While not a formal leadership role, it demands technical ownership and strategic influence.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Architect and support solutions across Azure and AWS environments
Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and internal development teams
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and product teams
Serve as a subject matter expert on DevOps tools and methodologies
Maintain a billable utilization rate of 80-82%
IG Consultants: While on contract, you will be an Insight Global employee working for a particular company/end client on W2.
Pay Day: You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week's hours next Friday.
Holidays/Time Off: While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are they hours you will be paid. We do not offer paid sick days, paid time off, or paid holidays, except as required by applicable law.
