Job Specifications

Airswift is seeking a seasoned Procurement & Contracts Specialist to support one of our Energy Clients, on a 1 year contract position in Calgary, AB.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management within the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in midstream environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end procurement activities for capital projects, including pipeline and facility construction.
Develop, negotiate, and manage complex contracts (EPC, service agreements, material supply, etc.).
Collaborate with project teams to align procurement strategies with project timelines and budgets.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Manage vendor relationships and performance, including dispute resolution and contract enforcement.
Support risk management initiatives through robust contract terms and supplier vetting.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting for audit and project tracking.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
7-10 years of procurement/contracts experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on midstream operations.
Proven track record supporting capital projects, pipelines, and facilities.
Strong knowledge of Canadian procurement laws and industry practices.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and contract management tools.
