General Description Of The Role

Lead the development of powerful strategic marketing processes and tools to support brand activation and growth in all the core, potential and seeding countries. The role will be focused on our Whiskey & Rum portfolio and will count with a team responsible for Global Marketing, Brand PR, Brand Home, Innovation and Customer and Channel Strategy.

Mission/Objectives

As a key member of the House of Brands team, the Marketing Head will be responsible for the development and sharing with the Markets of powerful strategic marketing processes and tools in support of brand activation and growth.

The Marketing Head will act as business partner and champion between local Markets along the whole marketing cycle, from brand strategy definition to execution, with regards to both Global and Regional Priorities, with the aim to consolidate and improve the overall strategic planning cycle of the Group as well as better leverage brand building initiatives across geographies.

Key Responsibilities And Activities

GLOBAL BRAND POSITIONING

Lead all stages of the positioning process, in collaboration with the Global Marketing Senior Directors and Brand Managers, and liaising with the global Consumer Insight role, to guarantee a proper balance between creative and structured strategic thinking throughout the process.

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Lead the NPD process, in collaboration with the Head of Supply Chain, to ensure a strong engagement of (leading) local Markets along the innovation process.

MARKETING TOOL KIT

Ensure proper and timely delivery to the Markets of a broad and rich Marketing Tool Kit on how to execute the global brand's growth strategy in the market to activate and expand the brand, including:

straightforward guidelines and initiatives for RTM setting and development, both within the on-premise and off-trade channels
Brand PR, Digital and Events approach, guidelines, and content to be developed/adapted locally.
A&P investment strategy based on global brand portfolio strategy

MARKETING PLANS

Facilitate equity coherence check of local Marketing Plans, advertising brief, and concept idea.
Maximize the working budget by consolidating non-working investments. Maximize the utilization of global assets.

BRAND COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

Ensure proper and timely delivery to the Markets of broad, rich, culturally relevant Marketing Assets and Tool Kits on executing growth strategy in the market.
Ensure experience sharing between Markets and HoBs
Oversee the preparation of Brand Forums
Interface and support the Global Consumer Insight team in developing a unique set of approaches, standards, and tools.
Lead the enhancement of marketing talent within the HoB in collaboration with HR

BUDGET

Contribute to developing the House of Brands - Whiskey & Rum P&L.
Manage the budget throughout the year in line with the HoB strategy.
Track actual vs. budget and proactively act to offset any favorable variances, working closely with Global Finance.

Internal: House of Brands Aperitif members, Global Consumer Insights Manager, BU and Country MD's, Country Marketing Directors/VPs, Country Brand Managers, Global and Local Insight roles.

External: Agencies

Education

Bachelor's Degree MBA in Marketing or Business preferred.

Experience

Minimum 12 years of Brand Marketing experience within the Spirits industries, with demonstrated career progression and leadership.
Must have marketing experience in the Bourbon Industry at a Senior Marketing level
Proven track record in delivering NPD outputs through strong cross-functional teamwork with Supply, Finance, and Lead markets.
Preference for a candidate with experience in building premium/lifestyle brands
