This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Automation) in United States or Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-based automation solutions for power systems engineering. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable software tools that streamline complex engineering workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and data scientists. The position requires expertise across the full software stack, including backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure, along with mentoring junior developers and contributing to best practices in software development. You will be a key contributor to shaping the software architecture, improving performance, and ensuring the reliability of high-volume data pipelines. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about automation, innovation, and advancing renewable energy technologies.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you will:

Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based software solutions for the energy sector
Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
Work with technologies such as Python, React, Typescript, Java, Kotlin, Docker, and Kubernetes
Conduct code reviews, implement bug fixes, and optimize performance for high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and business units, to ensure seamless integration of products
Handle large datasets and implement ETL pipelines, including working with AWS Athena, Parquet files, and SQL databases
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to ensure team growth and knowledge sharing

Requirements

Candidates should have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing software or SaaS products
Proficiency in Python and Typescript; experience with Java or Kotlin is a plus
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Strong knowledge of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures
Experience designing and managing high-volume data processing pipelines and relational databases
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical best practices

Preferred:

Exposure to transmission power systems, power system solvers, or energy sector analytics software
Experience with cloud-based solutions, serverless architectures, and distributed computing
