TikTok Music team's mission is to build resonance and inspire expression through music, which includes features on TikTok and SoundOn. The team's mission is to inspire music creation & consumption by serving music artists along the lifecycle of music creation, discovery, promotion, artist engagement and monetization.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks.

Online Assessment
Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with product manager, data scientist, UI designer, and other engineers to iterate on data driven product ideas.
Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality.
Learn and understand how TikTok products work and help build end-to-end solutions.
Learn and grow from working with great colleagues and taking on challenges.
Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026;
Proficient in at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience with API development.
Experience with backend development projects, internships, or personal projects.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing).
Experience building DSP or Music products is an add-on.

Job Information
For Pay TransparencyCompensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
