Job Specifications

A new opportunity has arisen with a rapidly growing systematic hedge fund who are looking for multiple software engineers to join their core development team. You will get the chance to build technology and work on projects for multiple areas of the fund, including operations, treasury, compliance, finance and risk in this role as well as the latest technologies.

The ideal candidate will have between 3 and 8 years of software developing experience and a degree in Computer Science (or similar) from a top university. The firm uses many different tools and languages, but for this role strong Python and/or Java development skills would be highly advantageous.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-7+ years of professional software engineering experience in finance
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java
- Experience with SQL databases and data modeling
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle (execution - confirmation - settlement -> reconciliation)
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and data integrity
- Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

- Knowledge of FIX protocols, SWIFT messaging, or regulatory reporting frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with data pipelines, scheduling tools, or workflow orchestration
